if you fly the more complex aircraft, pmdg, ifly, pic etc. this could be handy.

A nice article. I have a couple of his books and they are a wealth of knowledge.

Hey folks,

I am curious to know what atc is used/desired with IYP by everyone.
I am sure that simple atc /superatc is used by many.

I have tested and used just about all known ones.
atc, superatc, voxatc, radar contact, etc. I always seem
to migrate back to radar contact. Live atc's seem popular but
their nuances and nature conflict with how, when and where I fly.

Thanks up front for letting me know what you use.

xxIYP on WideFS and ATC voice

April 27, 2012, 12:57:21 AM by PDX-Mike | Views: 82 | Comments: 9

I have set up a second PC and put WideFS and IYP on it.  Still working out the kinks, but the biggest one is that since I plug my head set into the PC running IYP, I don't hear the ATC in my headset.  If I set up speakers on the PC running FSX and crank up the volume I can barely hear the ATC.  Is there any way to get the audio from FSX to the other PC so I can hear ATC?

I haven't been on the forum recently. So a surprise awaited me in the form of badges attached to our profiles (some have more, some less)! What is this about?

xxFSHostClient "Connect as observer"

April 14, 2012, 05:35:59 PM by JacLau | Views: 61 | Comments: 2

Hi,

I would like to connect to "Come Fly with Me" for the first time ever and was asking myself what is the purpose of the "Connect as observer" check box in FSHostClient.

Would that permit me to follow the CFWM session without disturbing any participant?

Thank you

Jacques

Hi All,

Welcome to the forum. :)
We would like to keep the forum friendly and we have a lot of old users that are extremely helpful with all kinds of information.
So - as was the rule in the old forum, we would like you to sign your post with your name.
If you have an IYP/SATC account then we suggest you also use the "IYPing" (See later in this post on "how to")

If you have a question to our support then:
Since there is no way to tie the Forum Names to IYP user information, please provide the following information on ALL queries... it will make our lives a lot easier:

Operating System... XP, Vista or Windows 7
Your installed Service Pack for the OS

Service Pack level of your FS
    Aircraft you are flying
    Browser Type and Version
    CPU(s) Speed
    DRAM size
    Your Question

To make it easy, please update you profile. Go to profile -> Forum Profile -> Forum Profile and write tose in the  the blank fields.
Thanks in advance :)

How to use IYPing:
Click on the "User Control Panel"
Then "Profile"
On the right side of the screen you then click on "Edit Signature"

In here you can write whatever you want to be attached on your post's.

The IYPing is made my writing:

One of the main purposes of this board is to help those that are having issues with IYP.
Therefore if you have solved an issue, please don't just post - "I've solved it".
An explanation of what you've done to solve the issue might help others and could also help us make IYP even better if the issue could be avoided with a change of the code.

Also to help identify soved topics they now have a green "checkmark" in the overview. (I haven't updated all support post with this yet. It's a manual process - so... :)
